5 Simple Secrets to Be Successful Over the Next 90 Days

 

Were you prepared for this global pandemic? Have you adjusted to the current way of doing business?

Perhaps you may agree with me when I tell you that I believe we will survive our current situation.

Perhaps like me, you feel that if we survived 9/11, we will survive “social distancing” during this era of COVID-19.

Do you remember 9/11?

Where were you?

How did the events of the 9/11 attacks disturb your life?

On the morning of 9/11, I was driving on the GW Bridge in NYC on my way to work in lower Manhattan.

Did the events of 9/11 have an impact on our lives?

Yes, without going into details, I will tell you that it forced me to stay home for an entire month. But guess what? I made it through and came out alright.

After 9/11, I was hit once again by the financial crisis of 2008. Before that crisis, I had been enjoying the greatest financial prosperity that I have ever enjoyed because I was in both the real estate and the mortgage business.

After the market crashed, it had a tremendous financial impact on my life. I had to close my businesses and let go of my employees. The impact was so tremendous that it affected my health and well-being in a way that I was not prepared for.

I lost all my real estate properties, my car, everything. I remember I did not even have a bank account because I lost all my money.

It affected me so badly that I became horribly ill and ended up in the emergency room and later spent over 9 days in an ICU department. After being discharged from the hospital I had to declare bankruptcy because I had over $250,000.00 in medical bills.

Guess what?

After all that I still decided to continue in business. Yes, I had to open a different business, but I am an entrepreneur. That’s what we do. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I made it through. That’s why, as I write this today, I know you and I will make it through!

How can we make it through this current situation?

  1. We must feel confident and positive that we will not only survive, but we can perhaps even thrive if we plan. If we can remember how we overcame other life events, we remind ourselves that we can survive just about any situation with the right mindset.
  2. We must have a definite plan of action that clearly shows us what we will be doing every day for the next 90 days.
  3. Our plan should include leveraging both paid and free online tools that can help us achieve 3 specific things
    • Generate Brand Awareness and Recognition
    • Generate Leads, Referrals, and Loyalty
    • Generate Online Sales
  4. Our plan should include 3 basic internet channels
    • Website – because that is our online storefront and office, it is also our 24 hours/7 days a week best and most loyal employee
    • Key Social Media Platforms
      1. Facebook, if your ideal client target is both B2B and B2C
      2. LinkedIn, if your ideal client is B2B
      3. YouTube, good for everyone
    • Email Marketing – a 90 Day Email Marketing Strategy and Automation System is currently extremely critical.
  5. Lastly, we must seek guidance from experts like our CPA, Financial Planner, and business consultants and coaches like me. I have been in communication with my advisors over the past 3 weeks. As a result, I have decided to cut out some non-essential monthly expenses like my gym memberships, Weight Watchers, dry cleaning, take-out dining and so forth. Why am I doing that? Because I plan to be in business. Over the past 3 weeks, I have continued investing in my business by marketing it and attending online conferences, for the purposes of learning from international leaders from other countries who have been going through this longer than we have here in the United States.
